My father.
I and my friends.
I and my cousins.

MY EXPERIENCE...

I'm one of the residence of Cordova (the lady in green) who is excited in celebrating our town's fiesta because its an annual celebration with many activities to encounter and see. Before the actual celebration of Dinagat came their are many events that our Mayor prepare for his town people one of it is the Educators Night, Basketball Competition and more.

Little Carnivals and mini-stores are everywhere, people are rejoicing and happy as each day pass. As the actual Festival came then it will be the big day of our town. Street dancing competition and sometimes their are artist who join our celebration, Search for Dinagat Queen and more events to encounter in our Fiesta.

As the night fall then party is everywhere, especially their will be a street party to join on. And if your not that partyholic like me then you will enjoy partying in our own house which quite fun!

My sister w/ my cousins.
Visitors are coming now and then, foods and drinks are here and there, we enjoy every single time of the day. As the night ended visitors went home happy and satisfied. Also as we sleep a smile in our face will be seen even how tiring our day was. As our fiesta ended we will cherish the memory and treasure every thing as we will wait for another year.

Dinagat-Bakasi festival is a unique reinvention of the Dinagat Festival. The exotic eel locally known as "Bakasi"is peculiar and abundant in Cordova. The dance replicates the gliding movement of the Bakasi. Dinagat takes its name from the Filipino word ‘dagat.’ which means sea The festival celebrates the bounties of the sea. It's aim is to promote awareness and respect for the marine life, protection of the marine resources, and to inspire conservation efforts from local, national, and international organizations. The Festival was founded last 2009 and its main purpose is to showcase the livelihood and fishing culture of the Cordovanhons and promote Cordova as a tourist destination. The annual Festival is celebrated in time of the fiesta in honor of the town's Patron Saint. Sr. San Roque. It is a thanksgiving to the sea for the abundance of it's marine resources especially to the trademark and pride for Cordova, the eel of Bakasi.
